We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity records page views, clicks, scrolling and general session behaviour, and derives approximate location from your IP address. It sets cookies in your browser. We use it in aggregate to find usability problems — not to identify you. Microsoft’s handling of this data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To assess affiliate applications — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To improve the website — legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and fixing usability problems.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your form submission to send you marketing you did not ask for.
Who it is shared with
We share form data with two processors, and only as needed to operate the site:
- Amazon Web Services — hosts the website and the function that receives form submissions (EU region).
- Resend — delivers the submission to our inbox as an email.
- Microsoft — provides the Clarity analytics described above.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, transfers rely on the provider’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
We will also disclose data where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Form submissions arrive as email and are retained in our inbox for as long as the enquiry or partnership is live, and for up to 24 months afterwards so we have a record of the conversation. Clarity data is retained according to Microsoft’s standard retention period. Ask us to delete your data sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
To exercise any of these, email contact@redlap.com. We respond within one month.
Cookies
This site sets cookies only for Microsoft Clarity analytics. You can block or delete them in your browser settings without losing access to anything on the site. We set no advertising cookies.
